📘 What Is This Program About?

Children go through major growth spurts between ages 9 to 15, which can put them at increased risk for certain orthopedic conditions — especially when they’re active in sports. Our performance training sessions focus on improving mobility, flexibility, strength, and coordination, while also addressing specific conditions that can sideline young athletes.

🧍‍♂️ Who Benefits?

⚠️ Osgood-Schlatter Disease

This is a common condition among active children, particularly those involved in running, jumping, and sports that require quick directional changes. It affects the tibial tuberosity (the bony bump just below the knee), where the patellar tendon attaches. As the child grows, repetitive stress from physical activity can lead to inflammation and pain in this area.

✅ Our training incorporates knee stabilization, quad/hamstring balancing, and progressive loading to reduce pain and avoid flare-ups.

⚠️ Sever’s Disease (Calcaneal Apophysitis)

Often seen in young athletes between 8–14 years old, Sever’s Disease causes heel pain due to inflammation of the growth plate in the heel. It typically arises from overuse, poor footwear, or tight calf muscles during a growth spurt.

✅ Our sessions focus on proper foot mechanics, strengthening of the calves and ankles, and flexibility exercises to minimize pressure on the growth plate.
